Wireless Home Security Today

The wireless home security system is probably the best thing you can equip your home with. Quickly taking over the conventional home security system, a wireless home security today takes the whole concept of a safe and secure home to whole different level.  The peripherals that can be used in a wireless home security system are advanced and more reliable than their older counterparts.

Wireless Visuals

The keyword in all of this “wireless”; a wireless home security system means that you can set up most of your peripherals without the hassle of cables or wires.  A wireless home security system means that you can also set up your cameras in every possible area of the room and not just at the corner of a ceiling.  This gives more opportunity for you to hide the camera wherever you want.  Of course, the wireless home security system will require that the signal is not lost or blocked or else you will not be able to record anything that the camera “sees”.

With a wireless system, you can monitor everything going around your home in stealth.  It’s definitely a plus if you know exactly where to place the cameras so that they are not revealed to intruders or burglars.  Wired security systems will only give away the locations of cameras once the cables are discovered.

Wireless Audible

You may want to have microphones installed in your wireless home security system if you feel that installing cameras is too intrusive.  Although this is not something as effective as a camera, recordings from a microphone can help in a wireless home security system.  For example, you can set up your microphones so that they can trip an alarm when a noise reaches a certain volume level.  This is especially useful to use at night to trace unexpected noises around the house.  Again, the wireless home security system will give you endless possibilities as to where you can place the microphones.

Invisible Triggers

For basic wireless home security systems, you can put in some alarms and motion detection equipment.  This is the easiest, most cost-efficient wireless home security system that you can have set up.  All you will need is to have the motion detectors set up so that they will trip an alarm in your house.

For a more efficient security system, you can set up a silent alarm that the police will be able to detect; the intruders themselves will not hear the alarm.  This is one of the better options from installing a wireless home security system.

A wireless home security system is definitely the best option you have to protect your home, your valuables, and your family.  It takes a lot less time to install because of the fact that it is wireless and most of the peripherals will work on batteries so you don’t have to hook anything up to your local electricity.  This means that it works regardless of whether there is electricity or not, provided that your mother terminal that controls everything also works on its own power source.

Now, home security is never more than an alarm away.  Consider a wireless home security system to protect you 24/7.

Using Home Safes For Added Family Security

Protecting your valuables with a home safe provides you with the security in knowing that its there to protect your irreplaceable items from theft or destruction. It gives you that piece of mind knowing that your money, important documents, firearms, jewelry, and family heirlooms will be safe even through fire or water damage.

It also protects the wandering inquisitive child, babysitter, housekeeper, etc, from stumbling upon items that you would rather they not see.

But you just don’t go to any discount store to get your safe, then bring it home and plop it in your closet. There are some things to think about first, a bit of thought and planning.

What type of protection are you looking for? A home safe should protect your items from fire, water damage and theft. You can find safes that protect from any one, combination, or all. (You may still want to place some of your valuables in plastic bags just in case of water damage.)

What style are you looking for? A home safe can be anything from a small chest, file, wall or floor mount safe to a home or business safe or file cabinet. You will want to install it awayfrom the master bedroom or closet – this is the first place a thief would look.

What size are you looking for? What are you trying to protect? Your home safe should be big enough to fit things like important documents (birth certificates, passports, social security cards, credit cards, wills, tax returns, business papers, insurance documents, photos, etc); digital media (CDs, DVDs, memory sticks, GPS systems, MP3 players, cell phones, etc), and valuables (family heirlooms, jewelry, cash, video/camera equipment, collectibles, etc).

The safe needs to be anchored in some way, so be sure you will be able to bolt the safe to the floor, permanent shelving or set it in concrete. After all, you don’t want to make it handy for the theft to just pick up and walk away with everything all in one spot! It should have a tool resistant outer shell as well as a minimum of one-hour fire rating; most safes have a 20-minute fire protection. The lock should be U.L. approved.

Use your safe everyday so it becomes routine. Protect the safe code and change it occasionally. There are also models available that open using your fingerprint (very cool!).

A Life Saving Story

I received an email today from a lady who was ever so thankful. She said that she wants to shop at a certain mall where she doesn’t feel safe walking to her vehicle at night. So she had purchased a 775,000 volt stun gun from us about 7 weeks ago.

It has a disable pin on the wrist strap so that if the stun gun is pulled away from you the disable pin will come out, keeping the stun gun from working. She had always had it in her grip walking from the mall to her vehicle in the dark parking lot.

She got into her car, then as she was going to back out, she noticed a man had just stuck a flyer to her back window. She held the stun gun in her hand and got out to remove it as it was blocking her view. As she did this, she heard a man come up from behind her and saw him from her peripherals. Instinctively, she flung her arm back behind her and incapacitated him with the 775,000 volts. Someone heard her yell, and mall security astutely came to her aid. They caught him and the other man that was distributing the papers on the vehicles as their intent was to steal her car as well, billfold inside and all!

Soon, there will be sons and daughters coming home for Thanksgiving, perhaps commuting in their vehicles. Please be sure they have some type of security with them at all times. A lifetime is worth more than a few dollars! Check out the various affordable life altering stun guns and pepper sprays that are out there.

Why Your Home Should Have a IP Security Cameras

There are many reasons why even the most ordinary or average of homes should have a wireless surveillance camera. For one, although a IP security cameras does not prevent break-ins, it discourages them. Robbers and criminals nowadays definitely think twice about breaking into a home with a security system because they know that video recordings from one can already be used in court against them.

Another reason why people install wireless surveillance cameras is for to keep track of what’s going on in their homes when they are away on vacation. Now, live feeds from these cameras can be monitored remotely by local security stations that any untoward incident will immediately be
detected by the authorities and proper action is right away taken.

Best Home Security System

Depending on what you want to protect at home or what it is you would like to monitor, you have to choose the best home security system to avoid spending too much on something that you won’t be using over time.

The best home security system will also depend greatly on the kind of lifestyle you lead. Do you spend a lot of time at home? Or are you usually away on business trips? Simple facts like these can determine what the best home security system is for you.

For the Homebody

There are lesser points to consider in choosing a home security system for people who don’t travel much or leave their homes. This includes an alarm, which can either be silent or not. The silent option is more suitable to get the police to your home before the burglar realizes an alarm was triggered.

An electric door lock that only opens and deactivates at the right combination is also another item to include in your best home security system. This is especially helpful when installed in entrances. Those who do not know the combination will more than likely be intruders.

If there are wireless cameras installed in this type of best home security system, there is the option of installing monitors as well. These monitors can be set up in a den or bedroom and will show live feeds of what the cameras are “looking at”. For the homebody this is perfect for round the clock observation of the house and family.

For the Traveler

If you’re the type of homeowner who travels a lot, there are also home security options that fit your needs. Of course, their houses must be protected or there must be some kind of security system to help in the capture of any intruders in the house.

Motion detection devices hooked up to silent alarms are very essential in this type of situation. This best home security system will set off an alarm that can be used to alert the police (with the right technical adjustment and permissions from authorities) but it will not let the robber know that it has been triggered.

Set it up to let a trusted friend or neighbor know that something is going on in your house while you are away. This will alert your friend that there is someone other than you inside the house and he or she can call the police. Nothing is more essential than to have a camera recording all the events in your house.

Wireless camera power sources may not always be reliable. Consider cabled cameras that can get their power from the local electricity in the house. This is the best home security system and you can have the camera record all the activities in the house while you are away. It is best to hook it up to a computer system that has a large storage capacity. The other option is to have the camera record activities at certain times of the day or night.

To select the best home security system that’s right for your home, it is important to identify your needs first. This will help you to determine the best home security system that can protect you, your loved ones and the valuable items that you have in your house.
